Today's post is a little bit different than the usual fare we have at The Totality and, indeed, is slightly less whimsical than the nonsense I normally post. Yet, it's equally something of more importance or consequence than my usual pop culture meanderings.


   Anthony Nolan is a charity which aims to save the lives of those with blood cancer - a figure which increases with an extra diagnosis every twenty minutes. As there are currently 1'600 people in the UK waiting for a bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant the need for donors is urgent and increasing.

   The ideal donors are males aged between 16-30 and those from Asian, black or ethnic backgrounds are amongst the most needed.
